'Free Land Deeds' Given Out By Mayor

At least 200 indigent families recently received deeds of conditional
sale for housing lots sold at low rates in the Tabun Resettlement in 
Barangay Pandan here.

Mayor Carmelo Lazatin distributed the deed of conditional sale to Purok
5-B families, enabling them to buy lots at p50 per square meter. Each
beneficiary received an 80 square meter lot.

The selling of lots at 'very affordable price' is the main essence of
Lazatin's socialized housing project, which is in accordance with
Republic Act 7279 of 1992.

Lazatin also commended the efforts of Councilor Willie Rivera, Chairman
of the local Urban Poor Affairs and Housing Office, for the speedy 
processing of papers of the beneficiaries.

Rivera said that the LUPAHO is now processing the papers of some 300
more beneficiaries in Purok 5-B.
